2009 President’s Message “Ready for Success” By Patience K. Amartey, RHIT I am truly privileged to be given this opportunity to serve as your President in the coming year. DCHIMA over the past year we have worked on being transformed and now we are “Ready for Success”. Ready to succeed in arming HIM professional with the knowledge of emerging technology, e-HIM, Personal Health Record (PHR), Coding, Privacy and Security, Continuum of Care plus many more. With the growth of our membership and support from our many volunteers we will succeed and our success depends on your involvement. We want to succeed in providing you opportunities to increase your knowledge. We want to succeed in being mentors to students and those who may be interested in pursuing a career in the HIM Profession. We want to succeed in being an organization our community looks to us for professional advice and direction on the future of Health Information.
